The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) deeply mourns the passing of the French exchange student Thomas Stephane Jean Goumot, from the École des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris (EIVP). Thomas disappeared in the sea at Guaratiba after being swept away by a wave. His body was recovered last Saturday.
UFRJ expresses its profound sorrow over this tragic loss and extends its sincere condolences to Thomas’s family and to the EIVP community during this time of mourning and grief.
